Annual Aging Well Expo to Draw Crowd this October
The West 7th Community Center’s Annual Aging Well Expo is an event geared toward people who are 55 and better. This once a year event brings together exhibitors from around the metro area that offer information on health, wellness, resources and aging well. The expo offers free hearing, balance, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar screenings. For those looking for Medicare, Veterans Benefits, Legal or Pension Rights information, counselors will be available to answer your questions. Flu and pneumonia shots are also made available each year (be sure to bring your insurance card!). Additionally, participants can attend health talks on a variety of topics (Third Age Yoga, Healthy Living with Diabetes, Intro to Reiki and Simply Good Eating). The expo also gives participants the opportunity to “treat” themselves. Free 5 minute back massages, hand massages, Reiki demonstrations, lunch and door prizes are an added bonus at this fun and informative event. The event will be held October 23, 2012 from 10:30-1:30 in the gym at the West 7th Community Center, located at 265 Oneida Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102.
